Find A Problem And Solve It!

June 28, 2011

I’ve always been some kind of an inventor.  Today they call them “Makers” as in Makezine.com, material hackers, and other names but still the saying, “Find a problem and solve it” is as relevant as always.  The name may change but the process doesn’t. Just as when we are stock trading we must always think a little outside the “box”.  He he!

Today I was introduced to a video that displays a brilliant new type of pizza box.  The problems it solves seemed so obvious and yet we consumers have had to put up with the old pizza boxes for decades.  Check out what I’m talking about in the video below. (video after the jump)

Spendthrift to Penny Pincher: A Vision of the New Consumer – WSJ.com

December 17, 2009

Cooking from home…  Who would have thunk!   Author of “Buckets of Food For Pennies”, um… that would be me, suggested this back in 2007…  Am I a visionary?  Maybe, but I like to think that I enjoy eating during an economic downturn.  So do my friends and family.  At least, I think they do.

You can get your copy of the original “BOFFP” just by asking me for it.  I’ll email a copy to you.  Use the comment section below to send in your request.  Those that do will receive a short-term trading guide for free when it comes out in the spring as an additional bonus.

October 27, 2009

Hey! There’s no shame in couponing.  In fact, recent studies elude to the fact that the wealthiest among us do it more often that the middle-class does.   We all need to eat, right?

Budget Bytes

October 27, 2009

I’m kind of a foodie in my own right.  Not only do I like eating food but I also love to cook.  What I don’t like is the fact that almost everyone spends too much for their food.  I’m so adamant about this that I authored a book called “Buckets Of Food For Pennies”.

Beth  of Budget Bytes strikes at the heart of this matter in her blog.  She not only lists recipes but their costs.  Then she breaks those down by cost per serving.

If you are as concerned or curious about how much you pay for your food as I am you should check out this fledgling blog.  Smart idea, Beth.
