Hybrid Anything: Retrofit Kit Wins Award | Popular Science

If you’ve followed me for any length of time I’ve always said that the world (the drivers and auto owners of the the United States) really wants a vehicle, any vehicle, to get a minimum of 100mgp and 1000 miles to a tank of gas (or charge; or both) and it’s coming.  I can feel it.  This is just one great step in the right direction.  Now I have to ask, “Why can’t our auto companies, GM, Ford, and Chrysler, work on these things themselves?”  Why haven’t they?
