I’ve been saying for decades that the world and the United States needs a 100mpg car that will do 1000 miles on a single tank of gas.  Thanks to a web site, Inhabitat.com, a web site new to me, I found this puppy out there.  Sure it’s a concept car but it’s spec’s would put Tesla, GM, and many others to shame.  If the promise of newly emerging technology is realized we may be closer to a truly economic shift that will remake the world of transportation and Italdesign will have been one of the catalysts.

Renowned supercar designer Italdesign recently revealed the first images of the Namir, a vehicle that they claim will be the fastest hybrid car in the world. Set to be officially unveiled today at the Geneva Motor Show, the vehicle will boast 370hp, a scorching top speed of 187mph, and will be able to travel over 1,200 miles without a refill or a charge.
