Rain Equals Moisture?

The reason Death Valley is Death Valley is that there are three mountain ranges between the rains from the west and itself.  The eastern sides of each mountain range create a rain shadow wicking away moisture that would be available to Death Valley.  The same thing happens to stock market profits.  Instead of “follow the money” maybe we should be hollering “follow the moisture”.  As I read the article below I thought of the analogy and smiled at the perverse humor.  But as we all should know by now, in order for humor to be humor it must contain a little truth.
