Wall Street, Banks, and Milkshakes? The Bailout Explained

Wall Street’s Bailout Hustle is Matt Taibbi’s latest article on bailouts, banks, government, and the financial world.  He is  someone that writes with an irreverence for the establishment that the Rolling Stone magazine is known for.  This article is quite a bit like a big conspiracy theory.   You know,  the ones that either keep you up reading them or keep you up worrying about them.  This article could do both.

The facts are that these things are happening.

“… The nation’s six largest banks — all committed to this balls-out, I drink your milkshake! strategy of flagrantly gorging themselves as America goes hungry — set aside a whopping $140 billion for executive compensation last year, a sum only slightly less than the $164 billion they paid themselves in the pre-crash year of 2007…”
